Water Spills Over Several Northern Roadways

Continued heavy rain has caused several problems for northern motorists.
Saskatchewan Highway officials report a few roads in the North have flooded over because of recent rains.
So far, problems have been reported on Highway 903 near Canoe Lake, on Highway 914 north of Pinehouse and on Highway 135 to Sandy Bay.
Department spokesman Kelly Hanson says traffic on Highway 135, the only road to Sandy Bay, is restricted to one lane. Hanson says the rising water continues to keep pace with the work of road crews trying to build the road up.
As for the Key Lake road, Highway 914 was scheduled to re-open this afternoon after being closed earlier for highway repair.
Meanwhile, Highway 903, approximately 30 kilometers north of the junction with Highway 965 near Canoe Lake, has re-opened to single lane, light-weight traffic only after being shut down yesterday.
