On National Aboriginal Day next week, a group of people plan to unveil their vision for how eight First Nations people buried in a common grave in Battleford should be remembered.
The so-called Wandering Spirit gravesite contains the grave of eight warriors who were hung in Fort Battleford in 1885 for treason and other crimes.
The June 21st event will begin with a pipe ceremony at 8 a.m and end at about 10 a.m.
North Battleford city councillor Ray Fox helped organize the ceremony.
Fox hopes the ceremony will bring Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people together.
