The Carry The Kettle First Nation is playing host to Saskatchewan Party leader Brad Wall today.

Wall is attending a pow wow on the reserve to help kickoff a tour of Saskatchewan communities that’s scheduled to last a few weeks.

Wall says he’s going to Carry The Kettle after getting an invitation from the band council.

He’s expecting to hear the band talk about the need for greater economic opportunity, and Wall says his party is ready to make that happen for all First Nations.

Specifically, Wall says a Saskatchewan Party government would guarantee a seat for First Nations on a new investment panel the party wants to create if it gets into power.

Batoche, Meadow Lake, North Battleford and Prince Albert are among the other communities the Opposition leader will be visiting over the next few weeks.
