Vigil Planned For Deceased Sex Trade Workers

A man who works helping sex trade workers change their lives hopes vigils like the one in Saskatoon tonight will help mainstream society care more about youth involved in the trade.

Don Meikle helped youth plan the vigil, which remembers victims of the sex trade.

He says each year another name is added to the list of those who have died, so he says it’s a very serious issue that people shouldn’t take lightly.

Meikle says in order for young people to have hope, they need to know people care about them.

The vigil begins this evening at 6:30 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Park.
