Uranium Prices Continue to Spur Exploration

Exploration companies continue to sink money into a very rich uranium belt in northern Saskatchewan.
Last week, CanAlaska Ventures bought a huge parcel of land in the Athabasca Basin.
CanAlaska president Peter Dasler says they chose the site because the basin has the most pure and largest deposits in the world.
Dasler says, since January, the price of uranium has more than doubled and so has the demand.
Dasler says northerners can expect to see many jobs created from the renewed interest in uranium exploration.
Next week, CanAlaska will start surveying 450,000 acres of land near McArthur River.
