Updating The Primrose Lake Settlement Package

A west-side leader is spelling out what could happen if certain groups associated with the Primrose Lake Air Weapons Range settlement package don’t sign onto the deal.

Alex Maurice says the town councils of Jans Bay and Cole Bay risk being left off the 8-member committee that will eventually sign the trust agreement with the government, unless they rescind a petition against the deal.

He says the news was discussed at a recent meeting of stakeholders.

Meantime, Maurice says the federal government still has NOT come through with its portion of the nineteen and a half million dollar deal but he expects that to happen soon.

Maurice says he looks forward to hearing from stakeholders about the new developments.
