Science students in The Pas will soon have another resource to draw from.
The University of Saskatchewan is sending one of its top grad scholars to assist teachers there with classes at the grade school level.
This is the third time the university has dispatched a “science ambassador” to an Aboriginal community to encourage First Nations and Metis youth.
The university’s Dr. Julita Vassileva says Muskoday and Beardy’s have already been visited.
She explains the aim is to bolster the sagging numbers of Aboriginal kids who are pursuing science careers.
The graduate student will help out in five different science classes through April and May.
Her area of expertise is said to be physics.
