Aboriginal students going to the University of Regina will have help in their first year.

The Aboriginal Student Centre (ASC) is holding orientation sessions this week to help pave the way for success.

Jacquie Thomson with the ASC says students can expect presentations on time management (including how to avoid procrastination), note-taking and test preparation, as well as information about the ASC.

They will also meet with their academic advisors, if they haven’t already, and get a sampling of upcoming activities hosted by the ASC, such as a monthly luncheon.

Elders are also available on campus for cultural guidance and support.
