Saskatchewan Lotteries has released details about two La Ronge residents that recently won separate lottery prizes on Scratch’N Win tickets purchased from the same store just days apart.
James Halkett bought a $4 Lucky Lines Scratch ‘N Win ticket from the Country North Confectionary in La Ronge and was astonished to find he had won the top prize of $75,000.
The 50-year-old says he plans to use his winnings for home renovations.
Just four days later, 56-year-old Sandra Walker came forward to claim her own major Scratch ‘N Win prize.
Walker purchased a $3 dollar Crossword ticket from the same store and found she uncovered all the words necessary for the top prize of $50,000.
She plans to use the money to pay off bills and treat herself to a holiday.
