A rollover on the Kinistin reserve has claimed two lives.
RCMP report that early Saturday afternoon, a minivan lost control on a grid road on the reserve, and rolled over in the ditch.
The driver, a 25-year-old woman, died at the scene, while one of her four passengers, a 32-year-old woman, was pronounced at Tisdale hospital.
Both women were members of the Kinistin First Nation.
The other three passengers were all taken to hospital with undetermined injuries.
No names have been released.
The RCMP’s investigation so far suggests that none of the people travelling in the minivan were wearing seatbelts, and that alcohol may have been a factor in the rollover.
The RCMP are continuing their investigation.
