Truck Hits Youngster In Sandy Bay

RCMP in Sandy Bay continue their investigation into a traffic accident that sent a four-year-old girl to hospital.

 

The young girl was playing in front of the community’s school on Tuesday afternoon with friends when she darted out onto the road in front of an oncoming truck.

 

The truck was unable to stop in time to avoid the child.

 

The driver took the girl to the local health clinic. She was transported to Flin Flon with undetermined injuries.

 

Her condition is still unknown.

 

No charges have been laid.

 

It has since been determined that the truck was moving at a speed of 20 kms/hr when the accident happened.
