Trial Date Set For Christmas Eve Assault Suspect

A 25-year-old man facing several charges in relation to an alleged Christmas Eve assault on a Mosquito First Nation woman will go to trial March 13.

 

Rusty James Pahsaknunk of the Mosquito reserve is charged with assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm and unlawful confinement.

 

He remains in custody awaiting trial.

 

A Canada-wide warrant was issued for Pahsaknunk.

 

He was arrested in Hobbema, Alberta earlier this month.
