Tragic End To Search For Missing Beardy’s Man

Rosthern RCMP have located the body of a missing man from the Beardy’s/Okemasis First Nation.
RCMP began the search for 23-year-old Darrell Chamakese yesterday morning with the help of approximately 30 searchers in the community of Duck Lake.
Shortly before 1:30 yesterday afternoon, searchers from the RCMP Search and Rescue team located the man’s body in a slough in the community.
Corporal Brian Jones says while there is some closure for family members, this definitely wasn’t the outcome they were hoping for.
RCMP have ordered an autopsy and the investigation continues.
Officers do not suspect foul play at this time.
