Toddler Killed in House Fire on Big River Reserve

A two-year-old girl died in a house fire on the Big River First Nation yesterday afternoon.
The RCMP says when local Mounties arrived on the scene, the house had been consumed by fire and had partially collapsed.
Three people who had been in the home at the time managed to escape the flames.
The remains of the victim were recovered earlier today.
The victim’s name is not being released.
An investigation continues into the cause of the fire.
