Tips Pour In Regarding Predators On Reserves

The RCMP are shedding more light on recent reports of a white van prowling several central Saskatchewan reserves for children.

The Mounties say that although they have received 15 reports in all, 12 of them don’t appear to be linked.

Of the three reports they are actively investigating, one involves a report of a nine-year-old boy being picked up on the Mistawasis First Nation by unknown individuals in a van and dropped off on a doorstep of a relative’s residence.

That incident reportedly took place on May 28th.

The other two incidents under review took place on June 7th on the James Smith Cree Nation.

It was just a few weeks ago that reports came in of a man or men driving up to children and trying to entice them into a vehicle.

Although RCMP initially questioned the validity of the rumours, they now say there is substance to them.
