The La Ronge RCMP has 3 people in custody following a bizarre robbery early this morning at a local confectionary store.

At about 6 o’clock this morning, a vehicle plowed into the Quarry Confectionary, allowing the occupants access into the building.

RCMP Sergeant Ron Link says the suspects made off with an amount of cash.

He also says there appears to a link between this morning’s incident and another robbery at the same store the previous day.

That robbery saw thieves break into the store at about 3:30 yesterday morning and steal a quantity of cash and cigarettes.

A man and two women have been arrested this morning and charges are pending.

The investigation continues.

The Quarry Confectionary has been popular with thieves the last few months. Including the latest 2 incidents, the store has been robbed 4 times since late May. The first two incidents were armed robberies.
