A jury has heard all the evidence in the trial of one of the men accused of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old

Cree girl along a road near Tisdale.

The Crown has rested its case against 26-year-old Jeffrey Kindrat after three days, and the defence has elected not to call any witnesses.

Justice Ellen Gunn says she intends to give the jury their final instructions Monday before they begin deliberations.

Both sides will give their closing arguments either Friday or on Monday, before Gunn makes her final charge.

This is Kindrat’s second trial.

Thirty-year-old Jeffrey Brown is also awaiting his second trial this fall on the same charge in the September 2001 incident.
