Testimony At RCMP Sex Assault Trial Turns Sordid

The alleged victim of a sexual assault by an RCMP officer in La Ronge has taken the stand at the Mountie’s trial in Prince Albert.

In sordid testimony, the unidentified woman detailed her version of events the night in September 2004 she was allegedly assaulted by Cst. Thierry Jacques.

She testified she was awoken by Jacques in the drunk tank, and was then told to accompany him to the La Ronge RCMP detachment’s parking garage for a smoke.

She alleges Jacques then undressed himself and invited her to have sex with him, before forcing himself on her.

Jacques’ lawyer is scheduled to cross-examine her later today.
