Two people are dead following a fatal rollover involving a stolen vehicle earlier this week.
The crash happened just after 5 p.m. Monday, on a gravel road about three miles south of the James Smith First Nation.
All four occupants of the vehicle were from the First Nation.
None of them were wearing seatbelts.
The 16-year-old boy driving the vehicle died on scene, while a 17-year-old girl died of her injuries later.
Corporal D.J. Harrison with the Melfort RCMP says that the vehicle was stolen from Prince Albert back in 2008.
Harrison says the RCMP haven’t decided whether to lay charges in connection with the theft.
Two young men, aged 17 and 20, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were treated in hospital.
The names of the victims are not being released at the request of the families.
