A 16-year-old boy from Manitoba has been arrested in connection to a violent home invasion in Fort Qu’Appelle that saw two men killed.

51-year-old Marvin Arnault and 24-year-old Michael Itittakoose were shot to death inside the residence.

Three other people were shot and seriously injured during the same incident.

The suspect, who was 15 at the time, has been charged with two counts of first degree murder and three counts of attempted murder.

The youth turned himself in to the RCMP in The Pas on Friday – a day after the charges were made public and the Mounties issued a Canada-wide warrant for his arrest.

Police have not recovered the .22 calibre firearm believed to be involved in the shooting.

Investigators say they are still trying to identify a second suspect believed to have entered the home at the time of the shootings.

Anyone who has information that might assist in the investigation is asked to contact Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or call their local RCMP.
