Tamra’s Disappearance Remembered

A barbecue is being held today to mark the two-year anniversary since Tamra Keepness disappeared.

The First Mations Women’s Commission is hosting the event at a park in Regina.

On July 5th, 2004, the five-year-old was last seen going to bed in her family’s home.

She has not been seen since.

Women’s commission executive director Erica Beaudin says her group wanted to commemorate the tragic date in a fashion that a child would want, and that’s why they chose not to organize an event like a walk.

Officers from the Regina Police Service will be on hand to give out free ID kits to children and their families.
