A mining company from B.C. has announced plans to begin looking for uranium at a location approximately 75 kilometers northwest of the Mclean Lake mine.

Jeff Wilson of TRIEX Minerals says the company will spend $500,000 on the search this summer alone.

He explains the work will require some drilling, but much of it will simply be analysis.

The plot of land the company will be searching on has been named the Stony Road property.

It is located on the northern extension of Highway 905.
