Suspended Radiologist’s Files Re-evaluated

Doctors in Prince Albert are combing over a few thousand files that may have been processed by a doctor whose medical knowledge has been questioned.
Between June and August of 2004, Dr. Darius Tsatsi spent several weeks working in the region, processing radiology exams.
During that time he may have reviewed files of northerners, sent down to the region by the La Ronge Medical Clinic.
Cecile Hunt, CEO for the Prince Albert health authority, says they are reviewing all of Tsatsi’s work, and will contact any northerner whose file may have been improperly assessed.
She stresses, though, that most exams for out-of-town patients were actually processed by a different radiologist, and Tsatsi would not have seen many of them.
