Battlefords RCMP are asking for the public’s help in tracking down two Aboriginal men believed responsible for a violent home invasion early this morning.

The Mounties say two men armed with rifles forcibly entered a residence on Winder Crescent at around 4:00 a.m.

The suspects demanded cash, and then beat a 36-year-old female occupant of the home before fleeing.

Her injuries are described as minor.

Corporal Rob Lutzko says the victim didn’t know her attackers.

One of the suspects is said to be of First Nations ancestry, is 6’4″ tall, heavy-set, with short hair and a scruffy beard.

The other is believed to be of Metis ancestry, 5’9″ in height, with a slim build.

Both suspects are said to be in their mid-20s.
