Six men charged in the massive marijuana bust on the Pasqua First Nation made their first court appearances in Regina yesterday.

Two of the accused are from the Pasqua reserve — 44-year-old Joseph Agecoutay and 46-year-old Robert Agecoutay.

The other men charged are from Ontario and Indiana.

The RCMP say Sunday’s drug sting was the largest in the province’s history.

Police seized almost 7,600 marijuana plants worth an estimated $7.5 million.

The suspects fled the scene during the early-morning raid — and after a wide-scale search by RCMP — they were eventually apprehended trying to get into a reserve residence.

The suspects will be back in court tomorrow. Until then, they will remain in custody.
