Police have laid charges against two individuals in connection to an apparent shooting death at a home in Regina.

The police say they received a call over the noon hour on Monday that a 21-year-old man had been wounded with a firearm in a residence in the 200 block of Ottawa Street.

Police say they found the 21-year-old victim in the back yard of the property suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was rushed to hospital, where he eventually died.

His name hasn’t been released.

The police found a firearm on the scene, and later that night, two suspects were arrested.

42-year-old Dennis Willard Dustyhorn is facing a charge of manslaughter, while an unidentified 17-year-old male faces four firearms-related charges in connection with the incident — including careless use of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition.

The youth is also facing a breach of undertaking.
