Suspected Sexual Predator Back In Court

A psychological assessment has been ordered for a man accused of sexually assaulting children on the Mistawasis reserve.

Devon Shane Brandon, sporting a goatee now, sat laughing with guards before a judge heard his case this morning in Prince Albert.

The judge ordered the accused to be remanded until January 7th, when Brandon is scheduled to decide whether he wants a jury trial.

However, before then, Brandon will be sent to specialists in North Battleford for a professional assessment.

Brandon was arrested several weeks ago after a Canada-wide warrant was issued for his arrest.
