A judge in Prince Albert has ordered a trial for a Mistawasis First Nation man accused of murdering an elder.
37-year-old Vincent Roderick Dreaver will go before a judge and jury for allegedly causing the death of 81-year-old Antoine Sand.
A packed courthouse witnessed the conclusion of a preliminary hearing yesterday, where it was determined enough evidence exists to warrant a trial.
Dreaver was charged last year after Sand was fatally stabbed outside a house on the reserve
Dreaver has consented to staying behind bars until the trial begins.
No trial date has been set.
