Suspect Pleads Guilty in Reserve Stabbing

A 27-year-old man facing two counts of aggravated assault for a stabbing incident on the Little Red River reserve has pleaded guilty to his actions.

 

Jackie Dale McKenzie was charged in July of last year after two Sturgeon Lake men were sent to hospital with stab wounds.

 

The incident happened during a house party on the reserve after a fight broke out between the three men.

 

McKenzie will be sentenced on August 25th.
