Suspect In Domestic Assault In Mosquito At Large

A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for a First Nations man in connection with what police call “a violent assault” on the Mosquito First Nation.

25-year-old Rusty James Pahsaknunk is alleged to have assaulted a 23-year-old woman in a house on the reserve New Year’s Eve.

She was treated at hospital and has since been released.

Pahsaknunk, a Mosquito resident, is wanted for several assault charges.

The Mounties are warning anyone who spots him or thinks they know where he may be to not take any action themselves, but to contact their nearest police office or call Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
