An Air Ronge man who had recently been sought by police in connection to a theft in the Deschambault Lake area has surrendered to police.

A warrant had been issued for the arrest of 40-year-old Dominic Rediron a couple of weeks ago after someone stole a large amount of money, several cartons of cigarettes and a vehicle from a business in the early morning hours of May 21st.

The RCMP say Rediron turned himself in to their detachment in Prince Albert, and was released for court by a Justice of the Peace.

He is scheduled to appear in court in Deschambault Lake today on a charge of theft over $5,000.
