Suspect Charged Following Assault At Little Red

Charges have been laid in the wake of an assault on the Little Red River reserve.

Last Friday, officers were called to the community amid reports of a possible home invasion.

When they got there, they discovered two 18-year-old males in the residence — one of whom was taken to hospital with injuries.

RCMP spokeswoman Heather Russell says the other male has been charged with aggravated assault and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public.

18-year-old Ryan Favel has been remanded in custody and will next appear in court on Thursday.
