An arrest has been made in connection to the hold-up at the Credit Union in La Ronge on Friday.

22-year-old La Ronge resident Darryl Joe Cook is charged with armed robbery.

La Ronge RCMP Staff Sgt. Kirk Munro says the suspect was arrested at around 8:45 Tuesday night in a local residence.

Cook made a court appearance in La Ronge this morning and has been remanded in custody.

Munro says an undisclosed amount of cash stolen during the robbery has been recovered.

Munro also says it’s not believed Cook participated in another armed robbery in La Ronge days earlier, in which a local motel manager was robbed and tied up in her home.

The Mounties have yet to arrest a suspect in that case.
