Sudden Death On The Ahtahkakoop First Nation

Shellbrook RCMP are investigating the sudden death of a 53 year old man from the Ahtahkakoop First Nation.

Officers were called by ambulance personnel to a home on the reserve just before 7 pm last night.

Upon investigation, Mounties found the body of a 53 year old man.

A 41 year old woman was taken into custody at that time but charges have not been laid as of yet.

The Saskatoon RCMP Major Crimes Unit and Prince Albert Identification Section have been called in to assist with the investigation.

The name of the deceased is not being released at this time pending notification of next of kin.
