Volunteer searchers and family members have found the body of a 17-year-old First Nations boy who died after getting stranded in the cold last week.

The car belonging to James Buffalo of the Day Star First Nation was found stuck in snow on a road near Punnichy last week.

On Saturday, Buffalo’s body was discovered about three kilometres from that location.

The RCMP say an autopsy has been ordered to determine the exact cause of death, but foul play is not suspected.
