Strahl Says Residential School Apology On Its Way

Indian Affairs Minister Chuck Strahl says an official apology for residential schools is coming soon.

Strahl says it will come after the national Aboriginal day of action at the end of the month.

However, he insists it won’t be timed to interfere with that event –- which he says has been a concern of some First Nations organization.

The federal government admitted 10 years ago that physical and sexual abuse in the once-mandatory schools was rampant.
