The RCMP in La Loche have still not made any arrests in connection with a shooting that injured three people just after midnight on New Year’s Day.

A single shot was fired from outside a bar in the community and went through one of its walls.

The bullet struck a man inside, who was taken to hospital in Saskatoon with non-life-threatening injuries.

Two women in the bar were also injured, and were treated at the local health centre and released.

Corporal Lorne Thomas says the local Mounties are still following up on some leads, but they would also appreciate more tips from the public.

Thomas also says finding the person responsible for the shooting remains a high priority for the La Loche RCMP.
