A walk will take place on Friday from Lloydminster to Onion Lake to honour the memory of a late band member.

It’s been one year since the body of 48-year-old Jeanette Chief was discovered in some water north of Lloydminster.

Although foul play was suspected, no arrests have been made.

RCMP spokesman Sgt. Brad Zerr says officers are still trying to piece together the final hours of the woman’s life.

He is asking anyone with information to step forward.

The walk will begin at 9:00 at city hall in Lloydminster.

It will continue north to the Onion Lake reserve.

After that, a ceremony will be held at a cemetery.
