Southend Water Situation Almost Over

A sewage pumping station at Southend should be back up and running later today, according to an official with the Prince Albert Grand Council.

For most of this week, local residents have been without water service to their homes.

Bill Adams of the PAGC’s engineering section says a new motor has been located for the station, it just needs to be transported in.

He’s hopeful that will take place sometime this afternoon.

Southend water treatment officer Gordon Olson says the water is being turned on intermittently as the situation allows.
