Southend Man Fatally Stabbed

A 34-year-old Southend woman accused of second-degree murder made a court appearance in La Ronge today.

Charlene Bella Bird was arrested and charged after a 26-year-old man was fatally stabbed at a Southend residence just prior to noon on Friday.

According to the RCMP, Brent Harvey Morin received a single stab wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The case remains under investigation.

Local Mounties are being assisted in their probe by the RCMP’s Major Crimes Unit out of Saskatoon.

Bird’s next court appearance is scheduled to take place on April 23rd.
