A new software program designed to assist First Nations, Metis and Inuit businesses is now available.

Terry Metatawabin is the CEO of Equan Solutions, the Calgary-based company that launched the software.

Metatawabin says the new program will assist Aboriginal communities across the country with their project management.

He says the software is designed to help in the delivery, operations, management and reporting requirements within administrations.

Metatabawin says the program will allow communities to operate more independently.

“Where it can really help is to enhance our focus to be autonomous, and to have (a) program (that is) more flexible to manage and to be more efficient in our day-to-day functioning,” he says.

Metatatwatbin says the program can be customized for every business or community.
