Nominations have closed for the election of a vice chief at the Prince Albert Grand Council.

Chief electoral officer Ruth Bear says a total of five men are letting their names stand for the contest.

They include incumbent member Elmer Ballantyne, Walter Constant, Robin Mcleod, James Felix and Edward Henderson.

Bear says 187 delegates will be in Prince Albert on October 18th and 19th to elect the vice chief.

The election will be staged at the gymnasium on the Peter Ballantyne urban reserve in the city.

The winner of the vote will serve a three-year term in office.
