The life of Melanie Dawn Geddes will be honoured tonight in Regina as well as those of other missing and murdered Aboriginal women.

The Saskatchewan Sisters in Spirit is holding a ceremony where a presentation will be made the Geddes’ family and the names of all the missing and murdered Aboriginal women in Saskatchewan will be read out loud.

One of those names is Emily Osmond, who has been missing since this fall.

Her niece, Myrna Laplante, will be attending the ceremony. She says families like hers need the public’s support.

Laplante says it’s important to gather these families together at this time of year to show they support each other.
