Single Vehicle Rollovers Claim Two Lives

A 42-year-old man from the Sturgeon Lake area was killed in a single vehicle rollover over the weekend.

 

The RCMP say it took place shortly after 7:00 Saturday night on Fortsburg Road, roughly one mile south of Highway 355.

 

The victim, who was the driver, was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.

 

A 17-year-old male passenger was taken to hospital with undetermined injuries.

 

Meanwhile, there was also a fatal single vehicle rollover on the Little Pine First Nation this past weekend.

 

The Mounties say a car with a lone female occupant left the road and rolled at approximately 7:00 last night.

 

The driver, a 68-year-old woman from Little Pine, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
