The Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies is going mobile.

The province announced yesterday that it is giving SIIT about $2 million to upgrade its operations.

SIIT President and CEO Randall Morris says some of that money will go towards setting up a mobile unit.

That unit will go out into the country to find out how the institution can best serve its students.

Morris says the money will also be used to refurbish one of the floors of SIIT’s downtown campus in Saskatoon.

In addition, some money will be used to expand classrooms and offices.
