The Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority has been honoured at a national summit of gaming industry representatives.

SIGA was one of three award recipients at the first-ever Canadian Gaming Awards Gala Benefit in Toronto last night.

The Aboriginal gaming agency received the award for exemplary volunteerism and community support.

SIGA CEO Zane Hansen says his group is committed to strengthening the lives of First Nations people through employment, economic growth and community relations.

Over 1,200 industry representatives are in Toronto this week for the 3-day Canadian Gaming Summit, which wraps up tomorrow.
