The Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority continues to cash in.

Today, SIGA announced record revenues of more than $190 million and a profit of $60 million for last year.

President and CEO Zane Hansen says part of the success is due to the new Dakota Dunes casino.

He says visitations to the casinos are up 30 to 40 per cent from the previous year.

Hansen is also addressing recent news reports that SIGA has signed a memorandum of understanding with Taiwanese businesses that would potentially earn SIGA $600 million a year to operate casinos in Taiwan.

SIGA issued a news release last week denying there had been any formal negotiations.

Hansen says it’s “a little early” to assess what kind of opportunity this represesents.

Hansen says SIGA would never rule out exploring new business developments, but is for now focusing on the new Living Sky casino in Swift Current that’s slated to open the end of December.
