The Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority is making plans to expand the Northern Lights Casino in Prince Albert.

Pat Cook, SIGA’s vice-president for corporate affairs, confirms the facility will undergo a 5,000-ft. expansion some time next year.

Cook says the reason for the move is to give people more space in the building.

She cites both congestion and air quality as things they’re trying to improve.

Cook is uncertain when construction will start, but she expects the renovation to be complete in 2010.
