North Battleford city council has approved an urban reserve services agreement with the Moosomin First Nation.

The land in question is a five-acre parcel next to Home Hardware in the city.

The band wants to use the land for office buildings and storage.

Mayor Julian Sadlowski says the agreement is good for the band and for the city, noting it makes use of land that hasn’t been developed yet.

Sadlowski says the city and the band are now trying to set up a date for a formal signing of the agreement.

Moosomin officials could not be reached for comment.
