The man that robbed a financial institution in La Ronge earlier this year will have to wait a few more weeks before he learns his sentence.

22-year-old Darryl Joe Cook pleaded guilty to a charge of armed robbery in early April following a March 17th heist at the Conexus Credit Union in La Ronge.

Cook’s defence lawyer requested an adjournment on sentencing this morning in an attempt to better prepare for the case.

The judge consented to the request and delayed sentencing until June 14th.

Cook will remain in police custody until that time.

RCMP say Cook entered the credit union with a weapon shortly after opening on St. Patrick’s Day and stole an unspecified quantity of cash, which was all eventually recovered.

No one was injured.
